I was unable to date this shot and originally stated it was in the early 2000's. How wrong one can be! It was the 9 September 1997 when Class 50 050 hauled a midweek private charter using VSOE stock to the town. Here the locomotive has ran round waits at the head of its train to make the return journey to the metropolis. Thanks to Peter Tandy of Stratford upon Avon for providing the date information.
