Westerly Aspect of Stratford

One of my first pictures taken with a telephoto lens happened to be this one of Stratford upon Avon station. With just a lonely Guards Van stabled in the siding to the right of Platform 3 the picture gives a good view of the station and more importantly the Cotswold escarpment behind where the line, until 1976, used to traverse to Cheltenham. The lunacy and short termism of such a closure remains to this day. A redoubled Cotswold line at Honeybourne is just some 5 miles away at Long Marston!
